Scraping Tool

- Scraping grass and light fuels to bare mineral soil

- One edge can be used in rocky areas, while the others kept sharp

- Two scraping edges, each equal in length to the McLeod's one edge

ABOUT Us

Interested in firefighting in high school, Matt Thau joined the Fremont Fire Explorer Post and new that this was a career for him.  Hired by Cal Fire after high school in 1998, Matt enjoyed hard work and used tools such as the McLeod and Pulaski often.  Thinking there had to be a better tool, he began making his own.  By 2002 Fire Tool was founded and the Thau Claw was unveiled.  Since this time the Thau Claw has been widely used by firefighting agencies, trail building associations, and homeowners across the nation throughout the world.  Matt currently works for the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department, and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Fire Tool’s goal is provide a strong 100% American made product to its valued customers.
